Wahroonga Adventist School is a thriving, faith-based learning community with students from Prep to Year 12, offering a well-rounded education for boys and girls. Established in 1905, it is part of a worldwide network of Adventist Schools, colleges and universities.
Wahroonga Adventist School is held in high esteem by the community for its balanced nurture and development of children in a caring, well-disciplined environment. Our school's focus is on helping students reach their full academic potential while also developing Christian faith and moral character, and acquiring social confidence and responsibility.
With a motto of Nurture for Today, Learning for Tomorrow, Character for Eternity, the focus is on children’s mental, physical, social and spiritual needs, ensuring they are provided with learning that prepares them for life. We believe in an education that goes beyond the classroom, where partnership between home and school is imperative in growing confident and compassionate young people who will ultimately make a difference in their world.
Operating on a new campus, the school features state of the art facilities that stimulate learning, foster collaboration and spark the curiosity required to develop a love of learning supported by caring, passionate teachers. “Students are the heart and soul of our school community, and giving them a nurturing, contemporary education that best equips them with the skills and dispositions for the future is core to what we do,” says School Principal, Mrs Julia Heise.
We offer smaller class sizes where students are provided with a differentiated curriculum involving learning enrichment and extension to cater for student interest. Year 11 and 12 students are also provided with opportunities to study subjects of interest on site and through Distance Education/TVET. A dedicated pastoral care team engage and guide students while school counsellors are also available to support students daily.
The School is passionate about its range of art, drama and music programs, and the importance of student health and wellbeing is promoted through the School’s diverse sports and outdoor education program. Wahroonga Adventist School also offers a lively extra-curricular program which includes leadership opportunities, community service, sporting activities, outdoor camps and the Duke of Edinburgh.
