Wahroonga Adventist School is excited to have nearly completed its expansion into a full Prep to Year 12 co-education Christian School, with year 12 commencing 2021. Established in 1905, Wahroonga Adventist School is owned and operated by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, it is one of 6 Schools in Sydney and part of a worldwide network that includes Adventist Schools, colleges and universities.
With a motto of “Nuture for Today, Learning for Tomorrow, Character for Eternity”, Wahroonga Adventist School provides a Christ centred environment with a holistic approach to learning, focusing on children’s mental, physical, social and spiritual needs, which will ensure they are equipped with an education that prepares them for life.
Comprising a Junior School (years pre Kindy – 4), Middle School (years 5 – 8) and Senior School (years 9 – 12), Wahroonga Adventist School is structured as 3 small schools in one operating out of a new campus which features state of the art facilities. Specialist learning areas include science labs, music and art studios, design and technology lab, hospitality kitchen, computer lab, general learning areas, oval, multi-sport courts and multiple outdoor play areas.
The Junior School offers students a solid foundation of learning in an engaging environment, Middle School nurtures students as they grow and transition into high school, while Senior School prepares students to be our future leaders.
It is a priority at Wahroonga Adventist School to support children to be their best. Streaming classes are available for students who excel in Mathematics, Spelling and Reading (K-6), while studying subjects of interest through distance education/TVET is available for students in Years 11 and 12. A dedicated pastoral care team engage and guide students while school counsellors are also available to support students daily.
The School is passionate about its range of art, drama and music programs, and the importance of student health and wellbeing is promoted through the School’s diverse sports and outdoor education program. Wahroonga Adventist School also offers a lively extra-curricular program which includes leadership opportunities, community service, sporting activities, outdoor camps and the Duke of Edinburgh.
