We are a Non-Denominational Christian School from Prep to Year 12, located in Prestons NSW. Our mission is to transform lives by the proclamation of the gospel and the delivery of an excellent, Christian education that is accessible to the whole community.
The foundation of WCCS rests on the philosophy of “head, heart and hands”, which encompasses a holistic approach to the Bible. Within this approach, we recognise that knowledge (head), passion (heart) and actions (hands) are of equal importance in living a life of Christian integrity.
School Motto: "Expect great things from God, Attempt great things for God"
We recognise that each person who walks through our doors is an individual worthy of care and respect. Our staff are committed Christians who are genuinely invested in each student’s spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing, who seek to show Christ’s love every day.
William Carey is home to a fantastic Educational Support Unit for students who need extra support in developing their academic, social and everyday life skills.
WCCS also has advanced learning programs where students who have demonstrated a high academic achievement can be extended and enriched through projects, mentorship and differentiated lessons.
Wellbeing at William Carey Christian School aims to transform the lives of our community members so that they may flourish now and for eternity.
A team of school counsellors and psychologists are onsite every day and are available to support students with a range of wellbeing issues. The service provided by this team includes individual and group counselling, psychometric assessment and psychoeducation with students, parents and staff.
We also have a dedicated Health Centre run by a team of registered nurses to provide professional health care services for our students.
We provide a wealth of opportunities outside of the normal curriculum for students. This allows students to explore and deepen their unique gifts as they serve, lead, create and challenge each other to grow. Including:
- Leadership Councils and student leaders
- School Musicals (every two years)
- Bands and Ensembles
- Music Tuition
- Sport programs for soccer, athletics, dance and more
-Other clubs and activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh and debating
