Pymble Ladies’ College offers a showcase of exceptional curricular and co-curricular programs. An extensive curriculum is offered across all years, with 43 individual subject choices offered to students for the Higher School Certificate.
The Pastoral Care Program at Pymble Ladies’ College is from Kindergarten to Year 12 and comprehensive in its scope though individual in its delivery, and provides girls with the specific care and attention they require at the various stages of their schooling life.
Pymble Ladies’ College is divided into five separate schools on the one campus. There are purpose-built Preparatory and Junior Schools, a Middle School, an Upper School and a Senior School. A new state-of-the-art Senior School Centre, dedicated to the unique developmental and educational requirements of Years 11 and 12 students, was opened in 2011. Facilities in the Centre and programs offered help prepare Senior Students for the less structured worlds of tertiary study and the workplace.
Students spend the majority of their time in their specific school precincts, however all students at Pymble Ladies’ College enjoy the outstanding shared facilities including a 750-seat Performing Arts Centre, Music School, Visual Arts Centre, state-of-the-art indoor gymnasium, three full-size, multi-purpose sporting fields, 25 outdoor tennis/basketball courts, ten netball courts, and Olympic standard 50 metre swimming pool with diving boards, tower and learner’s pool.
Pymble Ladies’ College offers a safe, caring and nurturing environment for its boarders – comfortable and relaxed yet stimulating surroundings where girls can grow and learn. Many of our country boarders refer to it as ‘country in the city’.
Three Boarding Houses are situated within the Pymble Ladies’ College grounds and accommodate up to 120 boarders. A structure designed to facilitate the unique needs of girls at different year levels has been implemented, with boarders in Years 7, 8 and 9 residing in Marden House. Years 10 and 11 boarders reside in Goodlet House and Year 12 boarders are in single rooms in Lang House, where they are provided the resources and support required by students in their final year of secondary schooling.
A new boarder and Family Orientation Weekend is conducted to assist new boarders and their families acclimatise to life at Pymble, and the City Family Boarding Program also assists new boarders settle in to life at the College.
