Salesian College

At Salesian College, we value the need for families to feel comfortable and supported in the transition from Primary to Secondary school. Our Becchi Transition Program ensures that your son receives every opportunity to meet future classmates and teachers, familiarising him with the College grounds and the Salesian ethos. Ensuring all feel part of the Salesian family from the very beginning of your sonís Secondary education journey is our priority.

All staff and students belong to a House. Years 7Ė 12 are organised horizontally by Year Group, with a wide range of activities and projects conducted at the House level. Pastoral Care is made a core focus through the Oratory System.

The Year 9 Mannix Program challenges boys to take responsibility for their own learning; to demonstrate leadership and initiative, to develop their unique talents and explore their personal interests. This program utilises the purpose built facility on the Mannix Campus.

The Middle Years Program seeks to promote the learning and wellbeing of students in these crucial formative years. The program offers a comprehensive range of subjects and is designed to provide a solid foundation in each of the key learning areas. Our Whole School wellbeing framework is built upon our endeavour to foster a sense of connectedness; so that students feel a strong sense of belonging within our school community. Only then will our boys be able to face the challenges of life with confidence, resilience and courage.

At Salesian College, we aim to embrace the opportunities that new technology affords us. Our one-to-one Laptop Program positions every class, every student, with access to digital resources that enhance learning and daily organisation. We offer a range of specialist IT subjects and units, including game design, robotics, 3D modelling and animation. We provide parents with an unparalleled ability to engage in their sonís education, with learning management systems and real-time reporting easily accessible.

A Salesian education involves much more than the classroom. Our co-curricular program provides many sporting, cultural and other opportunities to promote a balanced, healthy lifestyle, self-esteem, and social-emotional development. Students can choose from ACC Sport activities, debating, musical ensembles, chess club, Social Justice League and other activities.

Information Evenings and College Tours
Guided by our welcoming Registrar and informative Tour Guides, Monday tours provide families with the opportunity to see the school in action and ask those questions that are better spoken face-to-face.
At the conclusion of the tour, a short presentation by Principal Robert Brennan shares with families College building development plans and valuable practical advice about how to navigate the enrolment process.

Our Information Evening for Future Families is a tailored presentation to prospective families providing key educational and transition material, including a high-level understanding of our values and educational approach.
