Mercedes College is centrally located, only 15 minutes from either the city centre, white sandy beaches or the picturesque Adelaide Hills. It is a Reception to Year 12 co-educational school, which accepts International students from Year 8.
In a delightful location with historical and contemporary buildings, and wide open spaces, students can enjoy studying in a park like setting at a school with up-to-date facilities and expert teaching staff. Students experience Drama, Sport, Music, Arts, Camps, Excursions and guest speakers in addition to their Academic studies.
The College is the first Australian School to become an associate member of the European Council of International Schools and is a member of the Council of International School, International Baccalaureate Organisation and International Schools Association.

Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1954, the school has welcomed international students since 1969.
The College follows the International Baccalaureate curriculum in the Primary and Middle years, and in the Senior school, students can study either the International Baccalaureate Diploma or The South Australian Certificate of Education – both are pathways to University.
The College successfully blends traditional educational values of academic excellence with a pursuit of innovation in curriculum and a presence in the world of International education. Each year a number of international students from Europe, South America and Europe come to complete their secondary education at Mercedes College. Opportunities to attend school trips to a variety of countries eg Canada, France, Indonesia and India are included in the curriculum and a yearly ski trip to the Victorian Ski fields, and the Australian Outback is available to students.
The College offers Music, Arts (including Film and Dramatic Arts), ICT, Languages, Science, Mathematics and Humanities subjects as well as Physical Education, Outdoor Education and Religious Education. A range of remedial and extension classes are available to assist students to reach their potential.
Opportunities to play in a range of bands and orchestras, as well as join several school choirs, are available. The school holds regular Drama productions, Art Exhibitions, School Camps and Retreats and Musicals. With a variety of sports teams available, and yearly Athletic and Swimming competition days, there are many opportunities to participate in sporting activities.
The school also offers chess, debating, public speaking, the World Culture Club, Tournament of Minds, Poetry Recital competitions and St Vincent de Paul’s group.
