Lycée Condorcet Sydney is an Australian company limited by guarantee. It is approved by the French Ministry of Education and operates under an agreement with the French government agency responsible for French schools abroad, Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Etranger – AEFE. It is also affiliated with the Association of Independent Schools (AIS) of New South Wales and is registered with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority and the International Baccalaureate Organisation.
LCS community is immersed in school life and is made up of French or bi-national families, either expatriates or settled permanently in Sydney, Australian families and other foreign nationals.

As well as offering a complete school curriculum for children aged 3 to 18 in French and English, LCS is also a member of the worldwide network of French schools abroad and follows the principles and values of educational excellence 'à la française'.
After graduation they are able to pursue further studies anywhere they choose as citizens of the world.
LCS follows the French school curriculum, prepares students for the French examinations (Brevet and the French Baccalaureate).
The International French School of Sydney encourages diversity through the study of the English language, as well as promoting an awareness of the Australian culture, society, history and geography. Although English language studies occupy an important place in the school curriculum, French remains the first language of communication.
The school follows the northern hemisphere academic calendar, that is, the school year begins in August and ends in June of the following year.
