Australian CChristian College(ACC) - Launceston is a K-10, co-educational, Christian school offering on campus education to students in Launceston and distance education to students across Tasmania.
The school is renowned for making sure every student is well known, well loved, and well taught. Students are nurtured by teachers who notice them, ask about their interests, listen to them, laugh with them and believe in them. Positive relationships are the bedrock of our school community.

Stages of Learning Prep to Secondary
Prep:
Little Footprints Launceston began in July 2018 as a meeting place for parents and a rich learning environment for children 0-5 years. Your child learns best when he or she is playing, exploring, creating and imagining. Experience is the best teacher. Imaginary play encourages children to explore new ideas, learn from their surrounds and engage socially with other children. This helps to develop skills like discipline, problem solving and empathy.
Primary (K-6):
In Primary School, the academic focus is on ensuring students acquire the foundational skills of reading, writing and arithmetic. If a solid foundation is laid at this early stage of their schooling journey, then ‘learning gaps’ will not prohibit their ability to thrive in later years.
In addition to our focus on teaching our students how to read and write we spend a significant portion of the day in Maths and we have a rich selection of topics in the areas of Science, HASS, the Arts, HPE, Technologies, Language, and Bible.
Secondary:
ACC Launceston provides a well-rounded education for our secondary students. We believe that each student is unique and therefore we tailor our teaching and learning to meet the needs of each individual. There are opportunities for learning Maths, English, Science, Bible, Technology, History, Geography, Visual Art, HPE, Sport and Music.
Co-Curricular
In addition to academic subjects, we also offer co-curricular activities such as sports, music, and other arts opportunities and we are continually looking at other activities to implement for our students. We believe that these activities help our students develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Our goal is to prepare our students not only for exams but also for life.
Character Formation
We believe that character traits like resilience and humility will serve a student well throughout life. Our students emerge from school able to empathise with people, to understand the nuances of social interaction, to stretch beyond what’s considered normal in the pursuit of a goal and to approach challenges with courage.
ACC combines traditional values of good manners, discipline and respect with modern technology, academic improvement and faith development. We inspire every student to strive for their personal best - inside the classroom and beyond.
Distance Education
Thanks to digital technology, school is no longer constrained by four walls. The school of tomorrow is here today. ACC’s Distance Education School is a legitimate option with qualified teacher support, registered curriculum and university pathways.
Our Distance Education students ‘attend’ classes online, away from the Launceston school campus.
Primary and high school students also have the opportunity to build friendships with students their age and discuss common interests outside of school. The distance education student community is vibrant, active and positive with lots of talk on things like computer games, sports, TV shows, movies, books and much more.
