Why Macquarie Grammar?

Macquarie Grammar’s courses are well structured and are delivered by experienced and highly qualified teachers. Students will experience interactive face-to-face blended learning, participate in interesting case studies to develop their knowledge and further their analytical skills, and be provided with challenging group projects that also broaden their team skills. Upon successful completion of the course, students will gain valuable skills to independently analyse issues from facts and appropriately apply learnt knowledge to produce sound solutions and strategies.

Our Teachers

The teachers at Macquarie Grammar School are appointed for their commitment to the individual student. The staff team demonstrates a dedication and loyalty that support the desired organisational culture. All teaching staff are appropriately qualified and experienced. The School prides itself on the number of teachers with higher degrees at Masters and Doctoral levels from universities all over Australia and encourages continues professional development and life-long learning.
Macquarie Grammar Teachers reach out to every student to help all students reach their full potential. Macquarie Grammar is big enough to offer a strong HSC portfolio, and small enough to care about the individual progress of every student. We favour communicative, interactive and student-centred approaches that also promote suitable opportunities for developing research skills, extend project work, dynamic presentations, independent learning strategies, critical thinking, and access to a wide range of learning resources including internet, audio-visual aids and libraries.

Our Purpose

Macquarie Grammar School is uniquely positioned to become a ‘School of the future’, providing outstanding teaching and learning and academic excellence, and able to adapt strategically and efficiently to a changing World.

Macquarie Grammar is a not-for-profit School for all students from Year 7 to Year 12, located on one site which is coordinated, coherent and connected, and operates from a shared vision, mission and established core values. Announcements:

At Macquarie Grammar School, education is more than a destination-it’s a journey of curiosity, character, and connection. You’ll sense it the moment you step through our front doors: the energy, the warmth, the genuine belief that every young person here is capable of remarkable things.

Our motto, Learn with Virtue, Lead with Truth, is more than a phrase-it’s the heartbeat of our community. It shapes the way we learn, the way we lead, and the way we care for one another. We hold unapologetically high expectations, but we match them with high trust and deep respect. Excellence, for us, isn’t about perfection; it’s about showing up, giving your best, and growing a little every day-together.

Macquarie is a mosaic of stories, talents, and aspirations from across Australia and around the world. We thrive on diversity-not just of culture, but of thought, talent, and perspective. In our classrooms, you’ll find lively debate, creative risk-taking, and courageous questions. Our exceptional teachers are passionate experts and mentors, igniting a sense of adventure in learning and supporting each student to find their voice, and their place.

We believe learning should be serious, but also seriously joyful. We celebrate achievement, but we also value kindness, resilience, and the willingness to learn from our mistakes. We listen to understand, seek feedback, and build a culture where respect and gratitude are the norm. Our community is built on genuine relationships-between students, staff, families, and partners-because we know that when young people feel they belong, they are empowered to achieve their very best.

If you are seeking a school that is both intellectually ambitious and deeply human, a place where young people are encouraged to think boldly, act ethically, and belong wholeheartedly, a school where your child will be challenged and cherished, where high standards are matched by genuine connection, and where learning is both an adventure and a responsibility, I invite you to discover Macquarie Grammar School. Here, the journey matters as much as the destination. Here, we learn with virtue and we lead with truth-side by side, every step of the way.
