An Augustinian approach to education seeks to create a community context in which learning can occur. The work of the College relies upon rich partnerships between students and teachers, and teachers and parents. These beliefs and practises also extend to other members of the community including past students and parents.
Education in the Augustinian Tradition is concerned with building a firm foundation of knowledge for personal and spiritual life, as well as a basis for professional success. Real education is characterised by a search for knowledge and understanding, which is integrated with personal experience.
An Augustinian education also seeks a balance in learning between different types of subjects, be they humanities or sciences, career oriented or spiritually focused, or personal or interpersonal growth. |

MUSIC:
Music at Villanova College is a true community enterprise, thanks to enthusiastic support from staff, students, parents, and the local and greater Brisbane communities. Considered an inclusive art, there is a place for all students in our music program, so long as they have the necessary desire and commitment to create music at the highest possible standard.
Villanova has a proud tradition of music and we encourage all students to be part of the music program.
MUSICAL PRODUCTIONS:
Every second year, Villanova College and Loreto College Coorparoo combine their theatrical and musical expertise to present a highly anticipated combined schools musical. Students from the Middle and Senior schools have the opportunity to participate in musical production and performance, showcasing their talents in singing, dancing, acting, backstage or technical.
SPORT:
Sport is an integral part of school life, with Villanova experiencing success in many areas including swimming, rugby union, football, AFL, cricket, basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf and more.
