Stuartholme places great store on the holistic nature of its curriculum aimed at meeting the diverse needs of the individual at the same time offering a challenge to each student to reach her full potential. Taught by a highly qualified and experienced staff, while preparing girls for all post- secondary opportunities, it also promotes critical thinking, reflection and problem solving and encouraging a passion for learning and a persistence in the face of challenge. While academic achievement is given pre-eminence, the academic programme is balanced by enriching co-curricular activities embracing many branches of sport offering advanced opportunities of State and National representation together with an extensive performing arts programme including drama, dance and music, conducted in specialised facilities.

Stuartholme enjoys a unique environment. The site covering over fifty acres commands spectacular views to the city of Brisbane and beyond to the Moreton Bay Islands. The school buildings, including the magnificent Chapel with its exquisite stained-glass window, are a blend of the old and the new, affording students the opportunity of valuing the history of the school whilst celebrating its dynamic growth. In recent years the Joigny building typifies this development. This fully air-conditioned four-storey facility with panoramic views across the treetops to Mt Coot-tha includes a multifunctional performance theatre, art and music precincts and a modern, fully electronic and spacious library. The pertinent facilities of practice studios, together with computer based keyboard and recording studios, stage, auditorium and double sized classrooms lend only richness and enhancement to the long held emphasis that Stuartholme places on its music and art curricular and co-curricular programmes. . Moreover, the modern, fully electronic and spacious library with quiet, comfortable reading areas, a dedicated audio-visual production area, tutorial rooms and two electronic learning centres offer resources which allow the girls to be at the very cutting edge of the learning process. Its facilities also serve as a study and resource centre for Boarders during their evening study periods. |

It is a boarding experience based on care and mutual trust, and a positive partnership between the student's family and the school.
