Our Vision

In 2020 our name changed from McCarthy Catholic College to Penola Catholic College.

Penola Catholic College is a learning community where the values of Compassion, Courage, Hope and Integrity are brought to life for students, staff, families and the wider community of our parish and diocese. Students are challenged throughout their education to strive for personal growth and development in the spiritual, academic and community spheres. Penola Catholic College has a broad and diverse curriculum designed to meet the needs of all students and to develop their individual talents. The curriculum offered at the College has the scope and breadth to cater for students at all stages of the learning journey, offering both challenges and support.

Our Mission

Our mission is to uphold, reflect and promote Catholic values, ethos and traditions. This means we live a life of Christ that deepens faith and from this their hope grows stronger and their charity more radiant. The faith formation of the young men and women who attend this school is central to the daily life of the College.

The beliefs and traditions of the Catholic faith are the foundation for our learning, teaching and relationships. Students are supported in becoming independent, thoughtful and compassionate young people and we work together to ensure learning at Penola Catholic College is inclusive, positive, challenging and enjoyable. Students are involved in a diverse range of faith experiences that reflect and enhance our Catholic heritage, mission and enthusiasm for social justice, ecology and school initiatives that enliven Catholic faith and morals.

What is P-TECH?

Penola is the only Catholic school in NSW to be designated as a P-TECH College. The college works in partnership with Telstra and PriceWaterhouseCoopers to enable students to develop enterprise skills that can make them preferred candidates for employment. Throughout the learning program, our industry partners are involved in the design and delivery of learning at school and in the workplace.
