Welcome to Orange Anglican Grammar School, a growing school established in 2007 to serve the families of Orange and the surrounding district. This is a young, vibrant community, where children are encouraged to explore their potential and revel in the challenge of learning.
Our vision is to assist and encourage each young person to develop their whole character and being. Within a caring Christian environment, each student is valued as an individual and shown and taught the importance of respecting those with whom they interact.
At OAGS, faith provides the direction and goal of our understanding and talents; it facilitates holistic education. Faith encourages us to address every aspect of our students’ development, including their physical, creative, social and emotional, moral and spiritual, academic and intellectual needs. Faith means all students are welcome in our school community, where they grow in their whole character.
Prep and Kindergarten to Year 6
Prep at OAGS is a pre-Kindergarten program for children over the age of 4. The Prep program focuses on these key learning areas to promote a positive self-concept and to give children the opportunity to achieve at their best in preparation for formal schooling.
In the Primary years our programs focus on mastery of the skills essential for success in life long learning, whilst encouraging creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and acceptance of responsibility for one's own learning.
Secondary Years
The Orange Anglican Grammar School's curriculum is designed to cater for a great diversity of interests and needs. As students progress through Years 7 to 12, a greater degree of choice is introduced. This enables students to develop patterns of study that are highly appropriate to their career ambitions and future needs.
Co-curricular
The School aims to provide a wide range of experiences and opportunities for the students. At OAGS we provide an extensive range of extra curricular and co-curricular programs that allow students to develop individual talents and personal interests.
We strongly encourage our students to participate in co-curricular activities, which are designed to complement their academic program, and thus allowing a balance between co-curricular and curricular learning.
Music at OAGS
There are many educational and social benefits that come from learning a musical instrument, at OAGS we would love to see as many students as possible take the opportunity to become involved in music.
Sport at OAGS
Sport is an integral part of school life at Orange Anglican Grammar School and we are committed to providing a range of both competitive and recreational sport opportunities to students as part of their T-12 schooling experience.
All students at the school participate in weekly sporting activities on Wednesday afternoons. These activities are aimed at the development of fundamental movement skills and fostering positive attitudes towards lifelong engagement in physical activity.
