Stella Maris College is an independent girls' Catholic College founded in 1931 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in the Benedictine tradition. Stella Maris College prides themselves on the care and development of young women who through living the Benedictine values, will make a significant and positive difference to our world. Stella Maris College has a well-earned reputation for having an innovative, flexible and diverse curriculum. To assist each girl to seek a balanced and individually suited academic program, Stella Maris College provides a broad curriculum including a range of VET courses. There is a strong emphasis on participating in the Gifted and Talented program which includes a Writer’s Group, Maths Challenge and Science IQ Quiz Program, Knox da Vinci Decathlon, Tournament of Minds and Philosothon.
All students at Stella Maris College have the opportunity to participate in a range of academic, sporting and cultural pursuits. In 2011, Stella Maris College was the successful winner of the NSW Rock Eisteddfod Challenge, and produced an al fresco production of Romeo and Juliet. Girls are encouraged to participate in a wide range of sporting activities including water polo, surfing, soccer and sailing, as well as having opportunities in choir, dance, drama ensembles and debating.
